Ingredients:
1 onion
4 cloves garlic
1 knob ginger
1/4 c oil
2 tbsp berbere spice
1 can tomato paste
250 g red lentils
3 c water
Pure onion, garlic and ginger in food processor, and sauté the mixture with oil for 10 minutes. Add berbere spice and tomato paste, and cook for another 10 minutes. Add lentils and water, and continue cooking for another 20 minutes until the lentils are soft.
