Ingredients:
1 tbsp butter
1 c brown sugar
4 tbsp jam
1 large egg
1 c milk
2 tbsp vinegar
2 tsp vanilla extract
130 g AP flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 tbsp butter
125 ml cream
1/4 c brown sugar
2 tbsp water
Mix butter, sugar, jam and egg until slightly frothy. Mix in milk, vinegar and vanilla extract. In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking soda and salt together, and then fold dry ingredients into the wet. Pour the mixture into an 8×8 pn and bake at 350 for 45 minutes. While baking, bring the remaining ingredients to a boil for 3 minutes. After the cake is out of the oven, poke holes in the top of the cake, and pour the syrup over, and let it sit until fully absorbed.
