Char Siu Pork

Ingredients:
3 lb pork shoulder
1 tbsp brown sugar
1/4 c oyster sauce
1/4 c soy sauce
1 tsp five spice powder
1/4 c honey
2 cloves garlic
1 tbsp red yeast powder
2 tbsp brown rice syrup

Mix marinade ingredients except syrup, leaving 2 tbsp to the side.   Cut pork shoulder into two pieces and coat in the marinade, leaving for 24 hours.  Bake at 300F for 40 minutes, basting with set aside marinade mixed with syrup. Repeat baking and basting 2 more times.  Best to chill and then cut and reheat.
