Ingredients:
1.5 c oil
2 star anise
3 bay leaves
1 cinnamon stick
2 black cardamom
5 green cardamom
3 tbsp sichuan peppercorn
75 g chili flake
Bring oil and all spices except for chili flake to a low simmer around 225F for 20 minutes. Bring oil to 300F and pour over chili flake in heat safe dish, letting cool to room temperature.
